Overview
The Zohar, the foundational work of Jewish mysticism written nearly 2,000 years ago, describes a time when "the gates of wisdom above and the wellsprings of wisdom below" will open simultaneously. Jewish scholars have long understood this as a prediction of both spiritual and secular knowledge expanding rapidly in the era before Moshiach.
The emergence of artificial intelligence, with its capacity to process and generate knowledge at unprecedented scale, has prompted many to revisit these ancient descriptions. The Talmud and later sources describe the generation before Moshiach as one in which knowledge would spread throughout the world in ways previously unimaginable.
